While some can make a living trading stocks, the majority of day traders lose money over the long term. Education is critical to being a successful trader. You should also develop a trading strategy and stick to it. Set aside enough money to support yourself while you learn the ropes.

Yes, swing trading is profitable, and you certainly can beat the market over long periods of time. However, this requires a good trading strategy, and enough discipline to stay with it throughout its ups and downs.

You can make money by swing trading for a living. You can also do it part-time if you want. You can learn it. Also, you should learn it because it isn’t possible to consistently profit as a swing trader without the proper education. Successful swing traders are disciplined and always follow their own rules. Keep you swing trading system simple; do not complicate it.

You can get started with a tiny amount of money (e.g., $100) while you practice and learn a good strategy. On top of that, you can adapt your swing trading strategies to trade with other securities such as Forex, ETFs, options, futures and commodities, thereby diversifying your portfolio. Author Bio

Many swing traders who ask me “is swing trading for a living possible”,don’t understand that swing trading, like any other activity takes a full time commitment. You need to dedicate a large portion of your time to swing trading to benefit financially from swing trading.

How Much Money Can I Make Swing Trading Stocks with $20,000. If you risk 1% of $20,000, you can risk up to $200 per trade. Assume you want to buy a $50 stock, place a stop loss at $49 and a target at $53. Your trade risk is $1 for each share you own (entry price minus stop loss, or $50-$49). Therefore, you can buy 200 shares at $50.

Swing trading, by its very nature, is a strategy that rewards patience. A swing trade means anything more than a day trade, and less than a month hold. Patience is not a critical factor. IF day traders can make it off 50k..then a swing trader should be able to do MUCH better, assuming that he knows what he's doing.

It is possible to make a living swing trading at home. Yes. Preparing yourself to do that is what takes a while. What’s awhile? That depends on you and how fast you catch on to trading. Train your eyes to see where the price imbalances are in supply and demand on a price chart (any price chart) and you will have an edge over all your ...
