Level 2 shows the numbers of buyers and sellers waiting on the bid and ask, and time and sales shows the actual orders that have been placed. It gives a good idea of support and resistance levels.

Level 2 provides market depth in a stock as it allows us to see all of the available orders in the market for that stock which create the price level. This ranks prices at their most competitive on the bid and ask, and also includes order sizes too.
