Also known as margin trading, leverage trading refers to the use of borrowed capital to get a much higher potential return on your investment. This allows you to open positions that are significantly larger than what your original capital would otherwise allow.

Leverage is the equivalent of trading on steroids or driving a massively supercharged car with 6 turbos. It can go super fast and make you win the race but if you crash at 500 miles an hour you’ll probably get killed.

Im trying to learn about leverage trading and I know that it is risky but I didn't really understand how it works. Your explanation is great and very helpful. I use coinbase and im just getting started with kucoin (which allows leverage trading) I am trying to be very cautious to protect myself.
